In Part One of the Hospitality Leadership Series, leaders explore the hidden energy costs of service-based leadership and how their personal capacity directly influences team performance and guest experience. This foundational session builds a shared understanding of emotional labour in hospitality and introduces practical strategies to help leaders manage stress, maintain resilience, and recover between interactions and shifts. Leaders will learn to: Understand emotional labour in hospitality leadership roles Recognize how stress impacts behaviour, decision-making, and communication Spot early signs of overload in themselves and their teams Apply simple reset strategies to sustain energy across busy service periods This session sets the tone for the series by strengthening leadership sustainability from the inside out.
